da betsson: According to reports from The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have dropped their interest in Fulham’s wonderkid left-back Ryan Sessegnon – who is now expected to join Tottenham Hotspur instead, after showing a lack of willingness to move to Merseyside.
da heads bet: No doubt, however, left-back remains a key position for Liverpool to fill this summer and The Echo claim their focus must now switch to other targets – mentioning recent links with Hull City’s Andrew Robertson.
But the Scotland international, who is valued by Transfermarkt at £5.95million, hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory during the Tigers’ relegation bid and although the Anfield outfit do need a dependable, natural No.3 on their books, Milner certainly isn’t a bad option.
After all, full-backs offer the dynamism of central midfielders and the creative qualities of wingers these days and the 61-cap former England international knows both of those roles incredibly well.
So, Liverpool fans, who would you like to see line up at left-back come the start of next season? Let us know by voting below…
